Once again, the radio signals, frequency and wavelength?

The radio has worked with us for a very long time. From Marconi has led to the state of the art. We are almost certainly all heard at some point in our lives, but how many of us know how it works. I know that is not really important, but it's nice to know.

First, the radio was invented as a method of sending and receiving bits of information. This is by using radio waves, which are, quite simply because a particular type of light wave. These waves propagate, in fact,through the air, not at the same speed of light.

At one end of a signal is a radio transmitter. Actually use these magnetic fields and electric fields the electrons are changed in order to create radio and airwaves. At the other end is a beneficiary takes these waves and converts them back into electrons.

The fields of a radio wave with different strengths and the length of time for a wave to go back where it started to vibrate is takena cycle. The signal frequency is measured in Hertz and the number of cycles that occur in one second.

Now remember that radio waves travel at constant speed, and when it vibrates in a different way, it will take a different time, a cycle. The distance a wave travels in a cycle is the wavelength.

The lower the frequency, which is slower than most to complete the trip in each cycle, so that you can see that the waves of low frequency long wavelength, and vice versaversa.

Frequencies in the range of radio waves from a few hundred kHz (kilohertz = kHz = 1,000 Hz) to about 1,000 GHz (GHz = gigahertz = 1 billion hertz). To give you an idea of what this means, a wave that travels 1 meter in one second, will have a frequency of 300 MHz.

If the radio tuning to receive a signal that is actually a frequency. These signals are divided into groups and are called bands. This means that you do not have to search throughto find all the frequencies, you, you simply want to search for a band. It took a long time to become familiar with and understand.
